One of my goals for 2020 has been to continue to connect with my community and to do a better job of shouting out the ladies that I meet along the way that really rock my socks off.

We all have our social media favorite hangouts, right? Mine is definitely Instagram. I’ve been super lucky to be able to connect with so many amazing women there that have really helped me to build my confidence… and simultaneously help me build SheMugs.

There are a few of these friends that are rocking businesses of their own and I think this is the perfect way to shout them out and give them some shine. They are sassy, and funny, and they have been amazingly supportive of my business, so I am so proud to be able to return that favor here – these ladies really are the best!

My ASMR is cookie decorating. There! I said it! The world now knows. I found (and fell in love with) Hayley Cakes long before SheMugs was born, and let me tell you – getting to know Hayley has only made me fall even more in love with cookies. She was actually one of the reasons that SheMugs was born – she’s got sass, and an amazing business – and watching her shine everyday helped me to have the conviction that I could do it, too. Did I mention her cookies taste AMAZING?!

I don’t know how else to say it, but Ashley is a firecracker. She’s funny, and sweet, and charming, and silly, and caring, and sassy AND she makes the most beautiful bookmarks. All of my friends swoon when they see them, so they are one of my favorite go-to gifts for book lovers. She spends a lot of time making sure they are all just right, and you can see her heart in each and every one of them.

Working from home doesn’t usually require a full face of makeup, so I can’t deny that my time in front of the mirror is limited, but Amanda knows all about the RIGHT things to put on your face. I fell in love with her 5 minute face routine that makes you look refreshed, and working with BeautyCounter means she’s always letting me know about the MOST healthy products. Also – her kids are hilarious and make me laugh pretty much every day. I like to joke that her daughter Sadie is my spirit animal – she’s got SASS!!

We all know that coffee runs in my veins, so it was only natural that I would fall in love with this incredibly responsibly sourced coffee. ChikMonk lured me with their cute logo, and then really hooked me with their flavor. It is a family owned business whose phrase “From our Mountains to Your Cup” speaks to their roots, and one of the things I love most about them. The company dates back four generations to India, and the love that they have for nature, coffee, and wellness can be tasted with each sip.

Jesi is an amazing artist, and was one of the original inspirations for starting my own sassy-minded company. She speaks directly to me as a woman, and then goes even further with pop culture references and a style that is uniquely her own. I admire her ability to be outspoken, and cannot resist watching her IG stories when her husband Dan, aka assistant to the Creative Director, takes over and shows us just what an amazing partnership looks like!

Ida Sofia, the amazing woman behind Evil Queen, has the most beautiful energy. She’s built her candle empire with the perfect amount of yummy scents, handmade vibes, and with a dash of sass that makes each product unique. As soon as I saw her candle labels, where she lists the ingredients that often include the best intangible things, I became OBSESSED. I mean – what kind of sorcery does it take to fit sun rays into a candle? She’s figured it out! Did I mention I have a secret stash that my husband doesn’t know about (probably until now)? I’m telling you – OBSESSED.

Katie is an amazing artist that can bring your fur baby to life with her personalized pet portraits. She works with so many mediums and has so many skills – from drawing, to painting to lettering to printing… the list goes on and on. I got my friends some personalized Christmas ornaments of their dogs last year and let me just say… I was definitely bumped to the top of their Bestie lists.

Molli is one of my oldest IG friends. We became friends through the love of coffee and small businesses, and she is always blowing me away with her talent. She can bring simplicity to life in a way that I haven’t seen before, and I love. Her line work drawings and lettering style are sophisticated and airy, and peeks of her new baby boy make me swoon on the regular. Calendars, coloring pages, cards, stickers… you name it – she’s got it!
